Land, written and directed by Babak Jalali will receive it’s world premiere at the 68th Berlinale in the prestigious Panorama section. The film is a co-production between Italy (Asmara Films), France (the cup of tea and To Be Continued), Holland (Topkapi Films) and Mexico (Piano).
Land, the third feature film by the awardwinning Iranian director, is about a native American family dealing with the scourge of alcoholism and the death of a loved one serving in Afghanistan. Land recounts a present but hidden America, of which little is known because it is rarely told.
