Joe White is nominated for Best Writer in this year’s Stage Debut Awards, for his “brilliantly funny” play MAYFLY, which garnered great reviews during its run at The Orange Tree Theatre this spring. MAYFLY has now been published by Nick Hern Books, and is available here.
Natasha Gordon also picked up a nomination in the Best Writer category for her debut play NINE NIGHT, which opened at the National’s Dorfman Theatre earlier this year. NINE NIGHT will transfer to the West End’s Trafalgar Studios this winter – tickets available here.
Elsewhere, John McCrea and Lucie Shorthouse are both nominated for the Joe Allen Best West End Debut award for their performances in the hit musical EVERYBODY’S TALKING ABOUT JAMIE – book and lyrics written by Tom MacRae, music by Dan Sells and directed by Jonathan Butterell.
