We are interested in reading fiction across all ranges of ages, from picture books through middle grade, to teen and young adult but particularly real life, laugh out loud funny YA and strong middle-grade voices.

To submit, please send the following to Hilary Delamere on hd-office@theagency.co.uk:

A very brief summary of the story (6 or 7 lines, in the body of the email)

A synopsis outlining the story (maximum two pages, double spaced Word document)

The first three chapters of a novel or the full picture book text (double spaced Word document)

Your email must have the subject line “Children’s Book submission” and your work should be separately attached. It is essential you submit via these guidelines as it will ensure your submission gets properly processed. If you are submitting more than one text, please include them all in one email.

To submit illustrations please follow the above guidelines but note we will only accept either a link to your website or attached illustrations as PDFs or jpegs. We will not accept download links or zip files.

We will try to respond within six to eight weeks of receipt of your material, but please appreciate this isn’t always possible as we must give priority to existing clients.

Please note we do not accept submissions by post.
