Nikhil Parmar is a writer and actor from Manchester now based in London.
He is the current recipient of Emmy-winning writer Andy Riley’s yearly mentorship scheme for young comedy writers, which he won on the strength of one of his pilot scripts.
Primarily a comedy writer, his work often explores issues of race and identity, with a specific focus on the uniqueness of the British-Asian millennial experience, and the very particular kind of prejudices it attracts.
As an actor, he is represented by Lucia Pallaris at United Agents and his credits include roles in three seasons of Sky One’s ‘Trollied’, Channel 4/Netflix’s political spy thriller ‘Traitors’, Danny Brocklehurst and Joe Gilgun’s upcoming ‘Brassic’ and Ricky Gervais’ After Life, among others.
