Bryce is a TV and radio comedy writer. He is a BBC Writersroom Comedy Room alumni and was named on the BBC New Talent Hotlist 2017. He is currently a writer on the BBC One Scotland sitcom SCOT SQUAD and recent work includes SOFT BORDER PATROL (BBC One Northern Ireland), CLASS DISMISSED (CBBC) and AYRES ON THE AIR (Radio 4). He is also one of twelve writers shortlisted by BBC Writersroom Scotland for their first ever Comedy Writers’ Programme.
In 2017 Bryce was placed at THE COMEDY UNIT production company in Glasgow by Writersroom Scotland as a writer in residence and was subsequently offered the position of staff writer, writing across all of the company’s projects as well as developing his own.
As well as this, Bryce was one of eight shortlisted writers on the third series of BBC THREE’S THE BREAK and his drama project SANDCASTLE was commissioned to script.
He was recently selected to be one of ten writers on BBC Writersroom Scotland’s first ever writing retreat aimed at generating ideas for Children’s drama (2017) and his original project UNFILTERED is currently in development with CBBC.
Bryce has also written for the stage and had two plays, THE TEARS OF ROBERT HANCOCK and LOST CHRISTMAS, produced by the WEE THEATRES GLASGOW company.
