Claire Peate is an MA Scriptwriting graduate from the University of South Wales and a former Marketing and Audiences Manager at the BBC.
Claire has written four widely celebrated novels to date, including The Floristry Commission which was nominated for Wales Book of the Year.
She is a founding member of The Boat Club, a comedy collective of theatre, radio and TV writers who are currently developing a crime sitcom, and is currently developing several of her own original TV and film projects.
Claire’s feature script THE COLOUR ROOM about the life of Clarice Cliff won the BAFTA Rocliffe Film scriptwriting award in 2016. In the same year Claire won the the Gruff Jones Memorial Prize from the Faculty of Creative Industries at the University of South Wales.
