Kenny has participated in the BBC Writers’ Academy, the BBC Writersroom 10 and the Kudos/Bush initiative, and was a finalist for the 2014 Red Planet Prize. He was the winner of the 2010 Adopt a Playwright Award and the 2012 Adrienne Benham Award, and was shortlisted for both the Bruntwood and Pearson Prizes in 2011. His plays have been performed by Nabokov, Eastern Angles and High Tide Theatre companies as well as at Festivals in the UK, New York and Cape Town.

Kenny is currently under commission to the Bush Theatre, working on original TV series with multiple companies as well as a feature film for Creative England. He was recently awarded the Clare McIntyre Bursary for an attachment at the Royal Court Theatre and won the 2016 Mercury Theatre playwriting prize.
