Kieran is a writer, performer, and theatre maker based in Glasgow. His Fringe First-winning & critically acclaimed play HEADS UP played at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2016, and toured the UK between February and June 2017. HEADS UP won Best New Play at the Critics’ Awards 2017 for Theatre in Scotland.
Past work includes RANTIN, a ceilidh-play with music created for the National Theatre of Scotland and the Arches; BEATS, a monologue performed with a DJ created with Arches Platform 18 Award; HITCH, an autobiographical story with a live band; CHALK FARM, co-written with AJ Taudevin originally for Oran Mor and subsequently touring internationally in a production by ThickSkin. BEATS also won Best New Play at the CATS Awards, which HITCH had been nominated for previously.

Kieran’s debut screenplay, an adaptation of his play BEATS co-written with Brian Welsh who also directs, is currently in post-production. Sixteen Films are producing with Steven Soderbergh attached as an executive producer. The film is supported by the BFI and Creative Scotland.
