Oliver read Divinity at the University of Edinburgh, before training as an actor at The Bristol Old Vic Theatre School.
Having always enjoyed creating stories, it was here that he began to write for performance for the first time. His first play, The Elephant In the Room, won the Equinox New Comedy Award. Writing for theatre, film and radio, his main focus is to approach contemporary issues with a comic slant.
