Zita gained a BA in Drama (specialising in physical theatre and comedy) from Rose Bruford College and has spent the last 20 years acting and devising for theatre, TV and film. One of her first jobs was D’YER EAT WITH YOUR FINGERS?!? at Stratford East, where she was part of the creative team that wrote and performed original comedy sketches and standup routines that later evolved into GOODNESS GRACIOUS ME.
Zita played the original Meena in EAST IS EAST at the Royal Court and the title role in Moira Buffini’s world premier of SILENCE. In a varied and prolific career, she is probably still best known for playing the ill fated Anna Paul (for 3 years) in CASUALTY – but recent credits include MOUNT PLEASANT and Will Sharpe’s FLOWERS.
Zita is actively pursuing writing and directing after spending over two decades on the other side of the camera. She is currently writing a female driven comedy drama, as well as developing several other original ideas for film and TV.
