Guy Parker-Rees, illustrator of bestselling picture book Giraffes Can’t Dance, currently has an exhibition on at independent children’s bookshop The Book Nook in Hove, East Sussex, until mid-March 2021.
First to exhibit at their brand new gallery space, Guy has focused on artwork from the picture book All Afloat on Noah’s Boat, one of Guy’s many collaborations with the poet Tony Mitton, because ‘it feels right for our times.’
‘It’s all about surviving being cooped up indoors for a long time – and there are lots of animals in it.’
Guy has teamed up with Giles Andreae for his latest book, the wonderfully empowering Elephant Me.
Guy also writes and illustrates his own books – most recently, the popular Dylan series about a joyfully colourful stripy dog and his friends.
