Publication day 6/10/16

It’s another bumper publication day with new titles from Sarah Warburton and Katherine McEwen, and a few reissues!

The next installment in the Princess series written by Caryl Hart and illustrated by Sarah Warburton is a festive treat. The Princess and the Christmas Rescue follows the fourth Princess in this series as she goes against the grain and helps save Christmas. Sarah’s illustrations are gorgeous as always but her rendition of Santa’s Workshop is really quite something!

The first two titles in the new Sir Lance-a-Little series written by Rosemary Impey and illustrated by Katherine McEwen are out today. These are brilliant twists on classic nursery tales brought to life with Kate’s lovely illustrations.

Queen Munch and Queen Nibble written by Carol Ann Duffy and illustrated by Lydia Monks has been reissued in a lovely hardback format with a new cover and cloth binding. Two entirely different queens strike up an unlikely friendship in this lovely story which, as it’s longer than most picturebooks, is a great one for new readers.

Heartsong written by Kevin Crossley-Holland and illustrated by Jane Ray is released as a gorgeous paperback today. The story is set in Venice and follows a girl whose life is changed when she meets Vivaldi. The illustrations are bold and do a wonderful job of bringing Kevin’s lovely writing to life.

Paddington’s Little Library is out today featuring four board books by Michael Bond. These are great for small hands and a wonderful introduction to Paddington!

Last but not least, eight titles written by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Lydia Monks have been put together in a lovely bedtime stories case. They include What the Ladybird Heard, What the Ladybird Heard Next and Sugarlump and the Unicorn all as hardbacks.
