We are currently closed to submissions for the summer to catch up on reading. Please see the guidelines below if you’d like to prepare a submission for when we’re back open.

Guidelines (Currently closed)

We are interested in brilliant children’s and YA fiction and striking illustrations. We are always on the lookout for fresh, thoughtful, funny voices that capture the zeitgeist, tell us an untold story – or a tale as old as time through a new lens.

At the moment, the age groups we are particularly interested in are young fiction, middle grade, teen and young adult.

In middle grade, we are open to anything from mysterious to adventurous to historical fiction, however it is worth noting that our dream submission would be a unique contemporary voice or a bold SFF creation.

We also would love to see more 5-8 novels which capture the imagination and hold the attention of young readers, whether that’s with irresistible humour or captivating characters.

For teen and YA, we especially welcome novels bursting with humour, strong friendships and lots of heart.

Please note we are not currently looking for picture books, as our list is full, but please check back in the future. We are however open to illustrators and graphic novel submissions.

Crucially, we are looking for clients who are available to promote their work, whether online or at events, and have an awareness of what it means to be an author, illustrator or both in today’s world with all the demands and complications that brings.

We are eager to see work from underrepresented creatives across all ages.

How to Submit (Currently closed)

Authors, please send us a concise covering email with relevant information about yourself and a one-liner which encapsulates your idea and tells us where it might sit in terms of genre and age in a bookshop, which makes us want to open the attachments very enthusiastically.

Please attach a short synopsis and the first three chapters of a novel (attached as a double-spaced Word document).

Illustrators, please send either a link to your website, Instagram or attached illustrations as PDFs or jpegs with ‘Illustration submission’ in the subject line.

We do not accept submissions by post!
