A new edition of Ted Hughes’ THE IRON MAN, illustrated by Mini Grey is coming soon, as announced in The Bookseller!
The announcement came as part of the news that Faber will be launching a new American-based division and publishing team called Faber US. THE COMING OF THE IRON MAN will be one of the publisher’s highlights for 2025, described as “an abridged picture book edition of one of the all-time classics of Faber’s list: The Coming of the Iron Giant by Ted Hughes, illustrated by Mini Grey.”
Publishing on 14th August, THE COMING OF THE IRON MAN pairs award-winning Mini Grey with Ted Hughes’ beloved tale. Faber shared an exclusive preview of the picture book on their Bluesky account here to celebrate 57 years since THE IRON MAN was first published.
