Babak Jalali’s LAND World Premiere at PANORAMA BERLINALE

Land, written and directed by Babak Jalali will receive it’s world premiere at the 68th Berlinale in the prestigious Panorama section. The film is a co-production between Italy (Asmara Films), France (the cup of tea and To Be Continued), Holland (Topkapi Films) and Mexico (Piano).

Land, the third feature film by the awardwinning Iranian director, is about a native American family dealing with the scourge of alcoho犀利士
lism and the death of a loved one serving in Afghanistan. Land recounts a present but hidden America, of which little is known because it is rarely told.

Starring Rod Rondeaux, Florence Klein, Wilma Pelly and James Coleman, and developed in collaboration with Torino Film Lab – FrameWork, Paris Project, Sofia Meetings and New Cinema Network Rome. With the support of Eurimages, CNC Aide aux Cinémas du Monde, Turin Film Lab, MiBACT – DGC, The Netherlands Film Fund and DOHA Film Institute. In association with Banca del Fucino and in collaboration with Bac Films.
