EIFF: Colin McLaren’s THE LEGEND OF BARNEY THOMSON & Andrew Haigh’s 45 YEARS premiering at festival

On Wednesday 17th June Colin McLaren’s new film THE LEGEND OF BARNEY THOMSON will enjoy the opening gala of it’s premiere at Edinburgh International Film Festival. Based on the book by Douglas Lindsay, it tells the story of awkward barber Barney, who inadvertently stumbles into serial murder. Starring Robert Carlyle, Emma Thompson and Ray Winstone.



45 YEARS, written and directed by Andrew Haigh, is to receive a UK premiere at EIFF on Friday 19th June. The film won two Silver Bears at the Berlin Film Festival this spring for lead performances by Charlotte Rampling and Tom Courtenay, and is Andrew’s second feature.
