Co-created by James Payne, this 8 part action drama series will screen on Sky One at 9pm on Fridays. In the darkest reaches of the Amazon, the diligent and always enthusiastic Lady Alexandra (Ophelia Lovibond) – on her first expedition for the British Museum – runs into Hooten (Michael Landes) – a rough edged, no-nonsense, American treasure hunter. They immediately fail to get on, but the threat of imminent death keeps them together. In no time, they’re falling off mountains and out of helicopters, trekking through deserts on camels, discovering hidden temples and fabled treasures, even finding El Dorado, the legendary city of gold.
Episode 2 is written by James Payne, episodes 3 and 4 are directed by Justin Molotnikov, and episodes 7 and 8 by Daniel O’Hara.
