Following its hugely successful launch on Channel 4, All 4 and HBO Max earlier this year, Russell T Davies’s superb drama IT’S A SIN has been recognised by a number of domestic and international prizes for excellence in television.
After initially airing in the United Kingdom in January and then internationally in February, IT’S A SIN landed to both an exceptional critical reception and record-breaking viewing figures. Amongst a raft of other five star reviews, the show was described by Lucy Mangan in The Guardian as ‘a masterpiece’ and swiftly became the most streamed box-set and biggest drama launch ever recorded on All4.
It comes and no surprise then that the show has now won the Banff World Media Festival Rookie Award for Programme of The Year 2021, Monte Carlo TV Festival Winner Golden Nymph Award for Best Series 2021, The Prix Italia for Best TV Drama, and received a nomination for Best New Drama at the TV Choice Award 2021.
