An adaptation of Kit de Waal’s novel, MY NAME IS LEON, will be broadcast this Friday 10th June, at 9pm on BBC 2 and BBC iPlayer. The one-off drama is directed by Lynette Linton and stars Lenny Henry, Olivia Williams, Christopher Eccleston, with newcomer Cole Martin taking on the title role

The drama follows nine year-old Leon, a mixed-race boy, and his quest to reunite his family after being taken into care and separated from his blond and blue-eyed baby brother. The trailer is available here.

Lynette Linton will also collaborate with Lenny Henry on an upcoming show at the Bush theatre, AUGUST IN ENGLAND. Lynette will direct the actor’s writing debut in April and June of 2023 and tickets are now available here.
