Paul Tomalin has been nominated for BODIES, the global number 1 Netflix hit, which is an ambitious, mind-bending murder mystery based on the DC Vertigo graphic novel by the late Si Spencer. The limited TV series blends a range of genres, from mystery thriller, noir, period romance, future dystopia to sci-fi.
Bodies follows four detectives across four different decades on a mission to investigate a brutal murder. The twist? The victims are identical, lived decades apart but appear on the exact same day across the years.
Peaky Blinders actor Stephen Graham stars as an enigmatic political leader in 2053, Elias Mannix, who is a potential link to the four cases, and according to series creator Paul Tomalin, Stephen’s mysterious character becomes something of a “driving force” of the incredibly complex series.
BODIES is available to stream on Netflix.

Grace Ofori-Attah has been nominated for MALPRACTICE, World Productions’ critically acclaimed medical thriller, which was ITV1’s most-watched drama launch episode of 2023. Showrunner, writer and producer Grace Ofori-Attah, is a former NHS doctor, and so imbues her writing with her experience of the stresses that come from working in A&E.
MALPRACTICE follows the respected Dr. Lucinda Edwards, who loses an opioid overdose patient, and goes onto face an investigation probing into her conduct that night. The series received high praise, as “intricately plotted and beautifully, leanly written” (The Guardian).
Helen Behan plays Dr Norma Callahan, who leads the Medical Investigation Unit’s examination into the death of an overdose victim and the possible culpability of Dr Lucinda Edwards (Niamh Algar).
MALPRACTICE is available On Demand on ITVX.

RTS Yorkshire Awards will take place on Friday 11th October in Leeds.
