Ali Zaidi is a writer and actor.

He is currently writing on HOLLYOAKS for Lime Pictures and was previously part of the ACKLEY BRIDGE Shadow Scheme 2021. Ali was in the writers’ room for a Lonesome Pine project for Channel 4 and has original projects in development with Slam Films and Slim Film & TV.

He was invited to join the Channel 4 Screenwriting Course where he developed BHAI, an original TV drama pilot. Ali developed original drama ORACLE with BBC North and was one of eight writers to be commissioned by the BBC for the second series of iPlayer Shorts. He has also written and directed the short film BOBBLE, which has been nominated for the Limelight Film Awards and The Shart International Comedy Film Festival, and wrote and starred in comedy web series ISIS HR.

Ali’s work has also been performed at The Globe as part of the Young Muslim Voices and Voices in the Dark season.
