Annalisa is a writer for TV, film and radio. She is also really quite blind (she has 5% vision). Last year, she wrote and presented a piece of comedy journalism called ANNALISA IS AWKWARD about disability and awkwardness for BBC Radio 4 which was described as “delightful” by Miranda Sawyer and “brilliant” by Grayson Perry. She performs stand up comedy, most recently at Battersea Arts Centre and as part of Soho Theatre’s Comedy Lab.

Her first radio play, THE MAN WHO FELL TO EARTH was nominated for the 2016 Imison Award. In 2019, she worked with Alison Steadman and Cariad Lloyd for another BBC Afternoon Play, SICK (a vom com) and, the same year, THE DEAD DAD SHOW, her radio monologue, was commissioned by BBC Radio 3 as part of their Music Monologues series.

In film, she has worked with Lionsgate UK to develop her first original feature and, in television, her spec drama pilot, BLIND BALL is under option with Marcus Wilson (THE A WORD) at Two Rivers Media.

Annalisa is currently part of Channel 4’s 4screenwriting 2020, for which she is plotting a thriller. She also working on commissions from DOCTORS and THE BREAK, SERIES 5 for BBC THREE.

Annalisa began her career as a producer and director of historical and current affairs documentaries. Credits include GELDOF ON MARRIAGE for Channel 4 and WORLD WAR ONE IN COLOUR with Kenneth Branagh.
