After spending time at the National Film and Television School in the UK, Becca completed a post-graduate degree in screenwriting at the Australian Film, Television and Radio School. Upon graduating AFTRS, Becca was awarded the Foxtel Award for Exceptional New Talent. Soon after, her drama series, BAYOU, won the inaugural AWG’s ‘What Happens Next’ prize.
Becca has become an in-demand feature writer while also running and working in TV writers’ rooms across Australia. Her debut feature, ADDITION (produced by Bruna Papandrea’s Made Up Stories), premiered at TIFF 2024 and will receive a theatrical release via Roadshow. The highly regarded script was awarded the 2025 AWGIE for Best Adapted Screenplay.
Her second feature, ASCENT (produced by Truant Pictures/Animal Logic Entertainment), is slated for production late-2025. She is currently showrunning her debut series for Stan Australia, THE DARK LAKE, produced by Brouhaha Entertainment and starring Phoebe Tonkin.
A frequent collaborator of Aquarius Films, Becca currently has two features in development with the producers (MOST ADMIRED WOMAN and LIVE!, starring Teresa Palmer). She has also joined forces with Aquarius and Anonymous Content as creator and showrunner of the sci-fi series SALVATION, being taken out early 2025.
Aside from many other projects in development in Australia, in the US she has recently written for STX Studios – a sweeping dynasty/epic film centered around the famed Patton family (produced by Sandy Climan). Becca is excited to be working on her own slate of projects internationally. Notably she is working with renowned author, Lily Brett, adapting her award-winning novel
LOLA BENSKY and has recently partnered with actor Eamon Farren in developing the contemporary spy thriller, THE FOREIGNER.
