Billie Collins is a writer from the Wirral, based in Manchester. Their debut play TOO MUCH WORLD AT ONCE was produced by Box of Tricks in Spring 2023, opening at HOME Manchester before touring nationally. The play is published by Nick Hern Books.
Billie’s latest play BELTANE was selected to be one of the RSC’s 37 Plays, and will receive a rehearsed reading in Autumn 2023. They are also currently working on a new stage commission with ThickSkin Theatre (dir. by Neil Bettles) and two episodes of MALORY TOWERS Series 5 (King Bert Productions for the BBC).
In 2022, Billie was an Associate Artist at the Oldham Coliseum Theatre, and was selected for the BBC Writersroom Northern Voices scheme. Billie has previously written audio drama for BBC Sounds, was shortlisted for the 2021 Papatango Prize and selected for Film Hub North’s 2020 Script Lab.
Billie also works as a dramaturg and script reader for organisations across stage and screen, and has hosted panel discussions and Q&As for festivals and events including Aesthetica, BFI FLARE and the London Film Festival.
