Emilia is British Showrunner, Screenwriter, Playwright, Novelist, Journalist and Executive Producer of Anglo-Indian and Italian heritage.

Emilia was Showrunner, (creator, lead writer and executive producer) of critically acclaimed Montreal based detective series THREE PINES for Amazon Prime Video starring Alfred Molina. She wrote and executive produced true crime drama DECEIT for C4.  Emilia was Head writer and Showrunner of THE TUNNEL: VENGEANCE for SKY and LAW & ORDER UK for ITV/NBC. She adapted Erin Kelly’s novel THE POISON TREE in 3 parts for STV/ITV.   Projects in development include a true crime drama series LEE CHILDS PRESENTS: MISS AMERICA (the MELINDA ELKINS story) for Dancing Ledge/Fabel (currently out to talent), a pilot for a music industry thriller series TRENDING for New Regency,  MEMORY DETECTIVES adapted from a short story by Julianna Baggot for Escape Artists and a major SVOD, and the pilot for  THE GPO GIRL for Keeper Films adapted from RTÉ podcast “Finding Samantha”.  She is also adapting TAKEDOWN, Laila Micklewait’s scorching takedown of the porn industry.

She has PHD in the rehabilitation of offenders using drama-based techniques and a First in Drama from Middlesex University. She has lectured in Creative Writing and Writing for Performance at University level, and also has also worked extensively in prisons throughout the United Kingdom. She has written for The Guardian, The Times and various women’s and literary magazines.
