Esther is a multi award-winning writer for stage, radio and tv. Her credits include Jimmy McGovern’s THE STREET and the Emmy award-winning series ACCUSED. She has also written for CALL THE MIDWIFE, as well as several episodes of MOVING ON, JUSTICE and CLINK.

In theatre, Esther is the recipient of an amnesty international freedom of expression award for UNPROTECTED and was shortlisted for the Susan Blackburn Smith Award for TEN TINY TOES which debuted at The Everyman Theatre, Liverpool.

On radio, her single drama THE PURSUITS OF DARLEEN FYLES was developed into a Woman’s Hour series – now in it’s tenth year. All Esther’s radio plays are available on BBC sounds.
