Frank Spotnitz is an award-winning series creator, writer and producer, and the founder and CEO of Big Light Productions. The London-based production company produces high-end drama with international appeal, with credits including the Emmy-award winning THE MAN IN THE HIGH CASTLE, MEDICI, RANSOM, THE INDIAN DETECTIVE, LEONARDO and DEVILS.

Frank started his career on the seminal science-fiction series THE X-FILES, where he served as executive producer, writing or co-writing more than 40 episodes and both feature films. He shares three Golden Globes for Best Dramatic Series and a Peabody Award for his work on the series.

Frank went on to write and executive produce series including MILLENIUM, THE LONE GUNMAN and NIGHT STALKER before relocating to the UK, where he wrote the first four episodes of STRIKE BACK: PROJECT DAWN for Sky before his series HUNTED was broadcast on BBC One and HBO Cinemax.

In 2013, Frank founded Big Light Productions and became a core tutor at Serial Eyes, a postgraduate training programme in Berlin that helps train the next generation of European TV writer-producers.

Born in Japan, Spotnitz received a B.A. in English literature from UCLA and an M.F.A. in screenwriting from the American Film Institute. He began his career as a newspaper and magazine writer, working for the Associated Press, United Press International, and Entertainment Weekly, among others.
