Helen Raynor

About Helen Raynor

Based in Cardiff, Helen started work in theatre and opera as an assistant director. There she combined a love of music and drama with the ability to get large numbers of people on and off stage before the music ran out.

Helen started writing when she moved into television as a script editor. Mentored by Russell T Davies, she script edited and wrote for DOCTOR WHO and TORCHWOOD before co-creating her series BAKER BOYS for BBC Wales. Since then, Helen has worked on a range of drama series as writer, lead writer and executive producer. Credits include MR SELFRIDGE, CALL THE MIDWIFE, A DISCOVERY OF WITCHES and ALL CREATURES GREAT AND SMALL.
