Matthew and Mark are currently writing an original international television series, CRUDE about the international oil trade set in South Africa for Mosunmola Abudu and Ebony Life. They have a number of original television projects in development, including a project about Charlie Chaplin’s visit to Japan in the 1930s.

Current feature projects include MAJESTY, a film about Queen Caroline, which has an A-list female actor attached in the lead and high-profile director and an adaptation of ALL THAT I AM the novel by Anna Funder.

Recent commissions across film and television include a series for Viaplay on the Swedish businessman and diplomat Raoul Wallenberg, and an original pilot, WAKE, also for Viaplay. They developed BISLEY BOY, feature film about the legend that Queen Elizabeth I in fact died young and the legendary queen was a man disguised to take her place, to be directed by James Watkins and produced by Paul Ritchie, a biopic feature on Amy Johnson for producer Xavier Marchand and TOM JONES, a feature film to star Jack Whitehall and to be directed by Chris Addison.

Matthew and Mark have been working as a writing team for more than twenty-five years. Film and TV credits include ‘VANITY FAIR’ (Reese Witherspoon, Bob Hoskins, Gabriel Byrne – Venice Film Festival 2004), ‘TITANIC: BLOOD & STEEL’ (Derek Jacobi, Neve Campbell, Chris Noth, Kevin Zegers – Best European Drama Production, Monaco TV Festival 2012), ‘JASON AND THE ARGONAUTS’ (Dennis Hopper, Frank Langella, Natasha Henstridge, Derek Jacobi, Jason London – NBC TV), ‘HANNIBAL (Alexander Siddiq, Ben Cross – BBC), and ‘MORLANG’ (Paul Freeman, Diana Kent, Susan Lynch – Nominated Best Screenplay, Dutch Film Awards). Uncredited Hollywood work include the Production draft of ‘SAHARA’ (Matthew McConaughey, Penelope Cruz, Steve Zahn) and rewrites on ‘AMAZING GRACE’ (Ion Gruffud, Albert Finney, Rupert Sewell, Michael Gambon).
