Martin is a composer, orchestrator and music supervisor. He won a Tony award, a Grammy and an Olivier award for his work on ONCE. Martin studied Music and Drama at the University of Hull, graduating in 1989; in 2016, he received an honorary degree from the university for his contribution to the arts.
