Neil is an author of middle grade and YA ficton, as well as a scriptwriter for film, TV and stage. His first children’s book Brooksie was published by Random House Children’s Books, followed quickly by MacB (Puffin).

Described as “Nick Hornby for kids”, Neil has since written six further novels including Flint, Sudden Death (both Corgi) and Playing on the Edge (Puffin) which was shortlisted for the Blue Peter Book Award.

Neil is currently working on new projects.
