Sam Hoare is a writer and actor with credits across stage, tv, film and audio.

Sam’s feature film VIRTUE  has been announced with Nikolaj Coster-Waldau in the lead role. Sam is currently writing an original comedy-drama series for FilmNation, STRANGERS. He is writing on a period drama series for Rabbit Track/CBS under lead writer Mike Robert Johnson and Grace Ofori-Attah’s PLAYING NICE for ITV

Sam’s one-man play PRESS ran at the Park Theatre in November 2022. Performed by Sam, the play was directed by Romola Garai.

Sam wrote and directed feature film HAVING YOU which won international awards at Nantes, New York and San Francisco before showing on SKY and BBC1. He has further films in development with Neon, Caspian Pictures and Hanway. He wrote an episode of THE ENGLISH GAME and has been in writing rooms for Disney and Netflix amongst other. He has several pilot scripts in development with companies such as Kudos, Record Player, Expectation and Water and Power.

His first play DIMINISHED was put on at the Hampstead Theatre and has since been optioned for a feature film. He has had plays in development with Out of Joint, The Soho Theatre, Sonia Freedman Productions and The Park Theatre.

In Audio he is developing a pilot script with Submarine and Storypunk.

As an actor Sam is represented by Kat Oliver at Conway Van Gelder Grant.
