A multi-disciplinary storyteller, Shaun’s career began with composing music for Bristol-based theatre companies. After landing a place on Bristol Old Vic’s Director Training Scheme (Lee Lyford – The Egg Theatre Royal, Bath), he broke new ground, writing and directing the original play MOPEY THE CLOWN (5 stars – EdFringe Review, 2017), a physical theatre dark-comedy exploring toxic masculinity. But he didn’t stop at theatre, winning the Bristol Film Our City Competition with his debut film – OUR CITY (BRISTOL).

Soon after, while training at Identity School of Acting, he began to collaborate with Asher Rosen on TV projects. Their 18th century slavery-era romance, ABOLITION, is in development with The Forge. Alongside period dramas with topical relevance, they have a span of punchy issue-driven TV projects in the pipeline.

In tandem with screenwriting and directing, Shaun has been working as a creative copywriter, delivering campaigns with national and international reach for M & C Saatchi London’s clients. Articles of his have appeared in Campaign Magazine and Macro Mag exploring pertinent issues in the zeitgeist. Also, he’s the award-winner of a grant from the Arts Council, for the production of a genre-bending album that explores his racial identity and mixed cultural heritage.
