Sophie’s original TV series BLOOD, starring Adrian Dunbar, was transmitted on Virgin Media One in Ireland, Channel 5 in the UK, and Acorn in the US. Sophie was the writer and executive producer of all episodes in both seasons 1 and 2. The show received a WGGB Award and an IFTA Award. She was also the writer and executive producer for the 4-part series HOLLINGTON DRIVE, starring Anna Maxwell Martin.
Sophie was selected as a One to Watch at the Edinburgh International Television Festival 2014. She was one of 2013’s Broadcast Hotshots and was the recipient of the Peter Ustinov Scriptwriting Prize in 2012 (original television script SANCTIONED), which was presented to her at the International Emmy World Television Festival in New York. Sophie was a BBC Production Trainee for 18 months from 2011. In 2010, Sophie was the joint winner of the BBC Writers’ Room All Mixed Up sitcom competition with THE GOD COMMITTEE.
She is currently developing new projects with Blueprint, Pure Fiction, Quay Street, See-Saw, Two Brothers, Hartswood, Multitude Productions, Binocular and West Road.
