After a smash-hit, sell-out run at the Soho Theatre last year, Metal Rabbit Productions and Supporting Wall are reviving David Mercatali’s production of RADIANT VERMIN, by Philip Ridley. Mercatali has previously directed a number of Ridley’s plays, including last year’s TONIGHT WITH DONNY STIXX and the Fringe First-winning DARK VANILLA JUNGLE.
RADIANT VERMIN will open at the Bristol Tobacco Factory tonight, before heading back to the Soho Theatre for a spell and flying out to New York for a month of performances at 59E59 Theater. Later in the year David will return to the Tobacco Factory to direct a new production of Caryl Churchill’s BLUE HEART.
Tickets for each theatre are available here:
May 12th – 15th at Bristol Tobacco Factory
May 17th – 28th at Soho Theatre, London
June 2nd – July 3rd at 59E59 Theater, New York City
Praise for David’s sell-out production of RADIANT VERMIN at the Soho Theatre in 2015:
“★★★★ Masterfully directed by David Mercatali”
“★★★★ A darkly funny morality play”
“★★★★ David Mercatali…infuses his production with fierce energy”
“★★★★A deeply macabre, stingingly funny modern fairy tale… clever, funny and provocative.”
– The Financial Times
David’s other work this year will include the new play CARGO, by Tess Berry-Hart, which opens at the Arcola Theatre on July 6th before heading out on a UK Tour. More info and tickets can be found here.
