All at The Agency are thrilled to read the announcement in the trade press that our phenomenal client Anna Symon (who wrote Apple TV+’s much acclaimed THE ESSEX SERPENT) is writing and executive producing a new female-focused erotic thriller HEATWAVE with Banijay owned indie Tiger Aspect Productions.
Set in Ibiza, the series takes place on a scorching family holiday when a forty-something woman embarks on a reckless affair with her friends’ teenage son.
Amid searing temperatures, long-held secrets and buried grievances are unearthed putting intense pressure on both marriages, with each couple forced to confront the reality of who they once were and who they have now become.
It is also understood that the miniseries will launch on Warner Bros Discovery streamer, HBO Max. While more information is likely to follow, we are hugely excited to see Anna’s fantastic writing be realised again on our screens.
