ITV have recommissioned Bancroft for a 2nd series following the success of series 1, broadcast in December. It’s written by Kate Brooke and Ben Morris, and follows Sarah Parish as DCI Elizabeth Bancroft. Ben Morris is also script executive.
Last year’s opening series tx-ed in December. Over four consecutive nights, it delivered a consolidated average of 5.4m viewers (20.2%), comfortably beating the 3.7m (14.4%) weeknight slot average. It is produced by Tall Story Pictures.
