BAFTA-winning writer Tony Marchant three part adaptation of the classic Joseph Conrad novel begins this week. Set in London, 1886. Unbeknown to his loyal wife Winnie, Soho shopkeeper Verloc works as a secret agent for the Russian government. Caught between the Russians and the British police, Verloc reluctantly draws his own family into a tragic terror plot. Undeniably contemporary and compelling in its subject matter. A heartbreaking story about a family caught up in the political machinations of a world in ferment. Starring Toby Jones, Vicky McClure and Stephen Graham and produced by Line of Duty’s World Productions.
