Acclaimed touring theatre company Paines Plough has officially announced the highly anticipated UK and Ireland tour of Consumed, the darkly comic and deeply affecting new play by Karis Kelly. Following its award-winning success, the production will tour nationally to April 2026, with performances across England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, and Ireland.
Directed by Katie Posner and with Sound Design and Composition by Agency Client Beth Duke, Consumed is a razor-sharp, multi-generational family drama set in Northern Ireland. It brings four women together under one roof for a 90th birthday celebration no one really wants to attend — and absolutely no one is ready for what it will unearth.
As of writing the tour will continue at Sheffield Theatres before heading to Belfast and eventually London’s Park Theatre. Full dates below.

Consumed is a co-production between Paines Plough, Tinderbox Theatre Company, and Belfast’s Lyric Theatre, in association with Belgrade Theatre Coventry and Park Theatre London.
