Joseph O’Toole is a screenwriter from South London, based in Barcelona. He has been commissioned to write a feature film for Miriam Segal’s Good Films Productions (The Infiltrator, Words of War, City of Lies).

His TV pilot Release follows the lives of young men navigating the football academy system in the UK and he is developing an original audio-book thriller inspired by his time working in a cheese shop in Barcelona.

Alongside his screenwriting, he is also a copywriter, having recently worked on Netflix’s The Rest Is Football and Beat Luke Littler campaigns. He also works in the social impact space, having designed a Debate-Boxing programme for young people at risk of exclusion from mainstream education.
