Macmillan Children’s Books has pre-empted two “unique, laugh-out-loud” picture books from Andrew Sanders with illustrations by Aysha Awwad.
Where Has All The Cake Gone? will be published 21st July 2022 in hardback and paperback. Whose Dog is This?, the second in the series, will be published in 2023.
Where Has All the Cake Gone? tells the almost unbelievable story of a missing cake, lots of hungry penguins and a crumb-covered little boy called Albert, who swears he’s telling the truth: he did not eat the cake! Parents everywhere will recognise this familiar scenario of a child telling a truly outlandish story to get themselves out of trouble and children alike will love pondering whether Albert’s story could possibly be true…
The second instalment will feature another unlikely adventure involving the dog next door and an evil goose hell-bent on world domination. Each book combines Sanders’ “fresh” voice with Awwad’s “bright, bold and energetic artwork”.
