The nominations for the 2024 Critics Awards for Theatre in Scotland have been announced, with the National Theatre of Scotland’s DEAR BILLY receiving four nominations.
DEAR BILLY, a tribute to Billy Connolly dubbed “a love letter to the Big Yin”, has been shortlisted for Best Production and Best New Play, while creator Gary McNair been nominated for best performer.
Around 8000 people saw the 17-venue run of the National Theatre of Scotland show, which is currently touring again in Aberdeen, Glasgow and Inverness before a run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
