The Agency has swept the board at the 2012 Olivier Award nominations. Lindsay Posner’s NOISES OFF has been nominated for Best Revival. THE LADYKILLERS directed by Sean Foley has been nominated for the Mastercard Best New Play along with a nomination for Best Director and Best Sound Design for Ben and Max Ringham.Matthew Warchus’ productions of MATILDA and GHOST have both been nominated for Best New Musical and Matthew has also been nominated for Best Director.Simon Baker has been nominated for Best Sound Design for MATILDA. Jeremy Sams’production of THE WIZARD OF OZ is nominated for Best Musical Revival. All four Matilda actresses have collectively been nominated for Best Actress in a Musical alongside Bertie Carvel for Best Actor in a Musical and Paul Kaye for Best Supporting Actor. CLEMENCY at ROH2 directed by Katie Mitchell has been nominated for Best New Opera Production. MOGADISHU at the Manchester Royal Exchange, written by Vivienne Franzmann, has been nominated for Outstanding Achievement in an Affiliate Theatre and THE TIGER WHO CAME TO TEA based on the book by Judith Kerr has been nominated for Best Entertainment and Family.
