The Agency clients Malorie Blackman and Lolita Chakrabarti have been announced as Unicorn Theatre’s Creative Champions ahead of the theatre’s new season.

Creative Champions is a new cohort of patrons from a diverse range of skills and backgrounds who support Unicorn Theatre and its mission to transform young lives through theatre. Dame Susie Sainsbury, Honorary President of Creative Champions, shared “It is exciting to help assemble such an inspiring group of talented individuals who, I believe, can play a vital role in enabling this very special theatre to extend its reach and impact. […] As Creative Champions we share this belief and know that theatre has the power to transform young lives. We all look forward to being part of the Unicorn’s bright future.”

Unicorn Theatre’s new season also includes the world premiere of a new stage adaptation of Malorie Blackman’s PIG HEART BOY, the critically acclaimed, ahead-of-its-time story about thirteen year old Cameron, who is offered a revolutionary heart transplant to save his life. Adapted by Winsome Pinnock and directed by Agency client Tristan Fynn-Aiduenu, the play will open at the Unicorn Theatre in January 2025 in a co-production with Sheffield Theatres and Children’s Theatre Partnership ahead of a UK tour with full tour dates to be announced soon.
