What do the Critics make of LEMONS LEMONS LEMONS LEMONS LEMONS?

Lemons are such a versatile fruit. They can be both sweet and sour depending on how we consume them. Sam Steiner’s time-hopping two-hander play stretches that same versatility to the words we use and how we navigate our relationships.

Almost a decade since it was first conceived by students at Warwick University, the Edinbrugh hit has finally arrived in the West End at The Harold Pinter starring Jenna Coleman and Adrian Turner. Directed by Josie Rourke this bittersweet rom-com explores the idea of a government passing a Quietude Act – or Hush Law – which limits its citizens to communicating with only 140 words a day. Featuring music from Agency client Michael Bruce, this Orwellian drama has received some excellent reviews from both LondonTheatre and the Evening Standard.
