Brummie writer Alexander successfully changed his career by one letter from waiter to writer when his script HOOKED was produced for Channel 4’s prestigious Coming Up scheme 2011. Since then, he’s written episodes of HOLLYOAKS, TIN STAR: LIVERPOOL, ACKLEY BRIDGE S4 and 5, and THE LAST KINGDOM S5. He has also written an audio episode of TORCHWOOD for Big Finish Productions.

He has an original project, PIRATES, co-created with Ashley Walters, in development with Vertigo Films/Slnda/Channel 4, a YA novel adaptation with Cosmopolitan Pictures/Clerkenwell Films, and several other original TV projects in the early stages of development. He previously won a place on the BBC Drama Writer’s Programme 2017, where he developed his comedy-drama GINGERBREAD with Red Production Company. BIN LIDS, his mental health legal procedural developed with Big Light Productions, was selected for a Sky Table Read in 2021.

He is of Indian and Jamaican heritage, is a father of twins, and lives in Devon.
