Daniel is a screenwriter who recently co-created and executive produced TRANSATLANTIC, a Netflix period drama set to debut in 2023. Prior to that, he served as a writer/story editor on Netflix’s Emmy-winning mini-series UNORTHODOX; and as an episode writer for MAPA, a German language “sadcom” that was nominated German TV Prize.

Daniel is a graduate of Serial Eyes, the European showrunner training program. Since then, Daniel has developed films & series in the US, UK, Germany, France and Austria. Before moving to Europe, he ran feature film development at Benaroya Pictures in Los Angeles, producing THE ROMANTICS and the Academy Award-nominee MARGIN CALL. He also developed CATCH.44 and LAWLESS.

Current projects include a mini-series about the life and times of Theodor Herzl; a coming-of-age spy thriller for Endor Productions; a crime drama based on the popular August Emmerich crime novels by Alex Beer; and a black comedy/drama set in the Tirolean Alps for XFilme (Babylon Berlin, Run Lola Run).

He is based in Vienna & Berlin.
