Harry Macqueen trained as an actor at The Central School of Speech and Drama, before turning to filmmaking in 2013. His debut film as writer/director, HINTERLAND, was theatrically released with Curzon Cinemas in February 2015. HINTERLAND was made for a total budget of £10,000, with Harry not only authoring the film, but also taking on the role of producer and securing the theatrical release and distribution himself. Harry’s second feature film SUPERNOVA starring Colin Firth and Stanley Tucci had its world premiere at the 68th San Sebastián International Film Festival in September 2020 and was released in the United States in January 2021, by Bleecker Street, and in the United Kingdom in June 2021, by StudioCanal.
