British born Jaquie Brown is a household name in her adopted home, New Zealand. A naturally comedic TV host, actress and writer she has a portfolio that — like Jaquie herself — is as broadly appealing as it is eclectic.

Alongside presenting a number of prime-time programmes Jaquie co-created and starred in her own comedy series THE JAQUIE BROWN DIARIES. The show aired in Australia, Finland and the USA, won Best Comedy and the NZ Film and TV awards for the two seasons it ran and landed Jaquie the prestigious WIFT (Women in Film and TV) Success in Television award.

As a screenwriter, Jaquie co-wrote the Cannes Palme d’Or nominated short film NOTHING SPECIAL and has two feature projects currently in development. BASEMENT BARRY, a dark comedy following a woman who finds herself accidentally abducting her boss and holding him hostage, is in development with Shiny Penny, with Natasha Rothwell attached to star and she has another feature project being produced by Paul Feig.

Jaquie’s writing is dynamic, engaging and unapologetic. She writes about all corners of life – even the darkest ones – with a wicked, off-kilter humour and genuine charm.

Jaquie is managed in the US by Edna Cowan.
