John is an Irish writer, living in London. In his early twenties, John managed about three years in investment banking in London before quitting to take up a role at-then Shine productions as they developed their drama slates. It was his first taste of scripted TV.

He subsequently moved into advertising which has included stints everywhere from London to New York and the UAE. During this time, he has been consistently writing and studying the craft through courses such as Robert McKee, City Lit and most recently the Curtis Brown TV Writing course.

His LA-based script SWEAT! was considered for Final Draft Big Break 2022.

Following recognition at Soho House, his latest TV pilot KEEPERS was featured as the headline showcase at their Scripted Hot Seat 2023 event.

He’s also written for publications as diverse as Monocle, Campaign and Media Week.

John is currently developing other original ideas. He loves to mix the heightened with the fantastical and add a genre twist to seemingly traditional stories.
